Weight Loss Management in Lancaster, PA
We’re excited to offer a newly FDA-approved weight management injection to help support long-term weight loss. In June 2021, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved Semaglutide, a once-weekly injectable treatment for adults struggling with overweight or obesity-related health issues such as hypertension, type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol. This is the first injectable treatment for long-term weight management in adults to gain FDA approval since 2014.
This treatment is recommended for adults with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 27 or higherwith at least one weight-related condition, or those with a BMI of 30 or higher.
At ROA, our mission is to help you feel and look your best. We understand the challenges of weight loss and provide personalized, medically supervised care to support your journey.
What to Expect:
For your initial appointment, schedule a consultation with our healthcare team. Before your visit, you’ll need to complete blood tests and ensure you’re under the care of a Primary Care Physician (PCP). If you have recent blood test results, please bring a copy. During the consultation, you’ll meet with Dr. Chloe, a board-certified physician, for a thorough wellness assessment, which includes:
• Evaluating whether weight loss management is a safe and suitable option based on FDA guidelines.
• Reviewing your medical history, medications, vital signs, and BMI.
• Setting your weight loss goals and, if needed, ordering additional blood tests to assess your metabolic profile.
Based on this assessment, we’ll design a customized weight loss program that may include prescription medications such as Semaglutide to help you achieve your optimal weight safely and effectively.

Results & Expectations
On average, users lose 1-2 pounds per week, with the best results achieved through a combination of a high-protein, calorie-restricted diet and regular physical activity.
Treatment can improve weight-related health conditions, including cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood sugar levels. Most patients reach their health and weight goals within a year and experience better long-term outcomes compared to those not using weight loss management programs.
The typical starting dose is 0.25 mg per week, with gradual increases every four weeks, depending on tolerance. Temporary side effects such as nausea and digestive discomfort are common during dose adjustments. Consistency with weekly injections is essential for success.
